Sunday Feb 28
In all of my 40 years on this earth I’ve never enjoyed the Oscars as much as I did this year
Dusty threw the best Party and there is nothing better in this world than sitting around the t.v. with 15 pajama clad girls eating churros and drooling over Hugh Jackman with our ballots in our laps hoping our movie gets picked. I had a fabulous time and hope next year she will do the same.

All the food was delicious, the company very entertaining and we even got a movie meetup set up to see Slumdog Millionaire. Yes!!!

I don't even know why I bother going to supposed "Romantic Comedies" anymore. This movie is so far away from Romance it's like the opposite. What is the opposite of Romance? I know it was a beating!

That means I recieved a not so funny beating @ the movies this weekend. They thought they'd do Love Actually in America and it did not even come close.

Next on the agenda is the book of the week

Testimony By Anita Shreve
The book is written from a researcher’s point of view and has testimonies, written confessions and interviews all of perceived truths.
If you have teenagers I urge you to read this book. It’s a very adult book that has some bad east coast prep school stuff that goes down and the repercussions. I liked the story but the narrative was not quite in balance,
So there where a couple of times I felt lost.
I think that getting a lot of views of the “crime” is a great way to write a book and in the end I recommend it.

So I give it a 3 out of 4 stars

Busy Little Worker Bee praying for some Spring

Sorry I’ve not blogged for a while. It’s just been a busy month for me
I wish that I had hibernating abilities, I’ve been so cold this bad weather has me real down

We’ll start with the only movie I’ve seen this month went to Everett on Sunday Feb 8th and saw “New in Town” with my wild and crazies’ meetup group .Let’s start by saying that although Rene Zellweger and I are both 40 years old she looks a lot older than I in this movie. Her character and Harry Connick’s never had any chemistry. The jokes are dull and I’ve heard them all before. She is not that funny anymore; I think Bridget Jones is dead.

Next up is I had a Stamping Up Party with Beth Anderson on Feb 5th it was @ my house and didn’t think we where going to fit but It was great fun. We ate lots of chocolate and wine

And finally I’ve read three books and here I am reviewing them for you the first is

This is the second book of this author that I’ve read. I’ve also read “The Constant Princess” but it was quite some time ago.
I really enjoy her heroines they are as smart and daring as any in Jane Austen’s work. She makes a dark part of English history more real and intriguing.
I really liked this book her “fool” was very intelligent character with conviction and honesty, she explains the court life during this era very well and I like the fact that this book is not all sex.
Philippa Greogory also wrote “The other Boleyn Girl” I haven’t gotten to that one yet but now that she has snared me with her spanish heroines I might have to read this other work of hers as well.

The second book I read this month was book 3 in th Kushiel’s Legacy Series:

So, what can I say this very Valentine’s day trilogy is filled with intrigue. It has everything and I think both sexes can enjoy the
WAR, LOVE, DIRT, FANTAZY, SEX, Dirty Fantazy Sex.
I have come to love this whole continent with all its magical peoples.
I can’t wait for the next book: which you can preorder on amazon. I put this pic on the very top of my blog this week cuz it's very pretty.

Lastly I read
A very trashy trash vampire romance novel by my favorite trashy romance writer

“Zen & the art of Vampires”
I did not enjoy it as much as I thought I would.

It didn’t feel like Katie wrote this
It felt like someone tried to copy her style and did not do it right. I think it was missing Zaniness (Is that a word?).
The heroine “Pia” was a bit whinny and she like bedded everything in site.
The brooding Vampire was meaner than usual.
And who cares about ghosts from another century. Unless there scary of course.
The villains where idiots, and totally cartoony
I love her work, just not this one.

Vampire vs Werewolf vs Goth

Just wondering what a Goth's superpower would be?

I mean a vampire has the bloodsucking, seducing young women, extra human can live forever powers

a werewolf can shape change, also has immortality and only a silver bullet can kill it powers

So why would you want to be goth?

Would the pimply little faces of kindergoths bore you to death?

I can't find one thing deadly about a punkgoth with 80 piercings. Maybe they have superhuman bacteria resisting antibodies?

The corporate goth can give any computer it's "I like manga to much" virus.

I'm sorry I just can't picture it.

Speaking of dark powers I just fininshed the last installment of the twilight series. it's called "Breaking Dawn" by Stephenie Meyer

without giving anything away I'd like to say honestly that it was my favorite in the four book series, that I'm totally done with it, and that I'm ready to move on in my life.

I don't need to see the movies ( unless its free on tv)

that I don't care that there filming sequels.

on the film side of things I went to see benjamin buttons on Dec 27th

I did not like the film for three reasons

1. too long

2. did not like benjamin or any of the characters execpt his mom

3. had to sit in front cuz I got there late

4. could not find parking @ alderwood

That last one I mentioned because I had to park real close to the person next to me and they left a nasty note on my windshield.

After the snow everyone in the world decided to go Christmas Shopping on that day and it took my 1/2 hr to park. +

The vodka martini @ McGraths was freaking awsome though, and made of for the rest of the bad day.
